Pantech Pursuit now at AT&T, costs $50
Making good on its promise made at CTIA, AT&T on Tuesday added Pantech's Pursuit handset to its lineup. The handset will become part of AT&T's Quick Messaging Phones and is Pantech's first touchscreen slider that has a hardware QWERTY keyboard. The color screen is 2.8 inches in size, and the phone has basic multitasking with support for browsing the web or sending and receiving messages while on a call.
Preloaded apps include Drawing Commander, which will dial contacts and activate apps with a finger trace on the touchscreen, a Graffiti app that lets users draw on images, and Face Tag that matches contacts with photos. The Pursuit otherwise has a 2-megapixel camera that can capture video, supports Bluetooth 2.0, and can access AT&T's Music, Navigator and Net services.
The Pursuit is now available in blue or green from AT&T for $50 after a mail-in rebate and on a two-year contract with a minimum $20 per month messaging plan on top of voice.
