VAIO P up for pre-order, due to ship June 25th

The recently redesigned Sony VAIO P netbook is now up for pre-order on Sony's site. Pricing starts at $900, which is $100 higher than originally expected. The expected ship date is June 25.

The 8-inch netbook has a carried over 1.6GHz Atom CPU, but adds an accelerometer that lets the device act like a book. The display has a resolution of 1600x768, and the PC has 2GB of RAM, along with a 128GB solid state drive (twice as big as the predecessor). There is also built-in Bluetooth and a webcam, and the VAIO P is bundled with noise-cancelling headphones. A 3G module is built-in while a GPS receiver was expected but isn't reflected by Sony's website.
