Archos begins selling Archos 13 in Europe
Archos has began selling its first full-size notebook, the Archos 13, through its online French store. The ultra-thin notebook is closer to a netbook but has support for 720p video through the use of a dual-core 1.66GHz Atom D510 normally reserved for nettops. At 1366x768, the 13-inch screen has a higher resolution than previously believed and trumps most netbooks.
Inside, the Archos 13 is outfitted with 1GB of RAM, along with a 160GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium. The PC otherwise gets Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a six-cell battery. It rests at just over an inch thick and weighs 3.5lbs.
The device is priced at 400 euros, or the equivalent of about $485. When the notebook will arrive in the US remains unknown, but might be a possibility sometime this year. [via ArchosLounge]
