HTC Evo 4G screen unresponsive, glass detaching?

Several forum members are reporting issues with their HTC Evo 4G handsets, particularly with its touchscreen. In addition to glass detachment problems, the touchscreen is also unresponsive when the device isn't grounded, say members on the XDA Developers forum and HTC Community. Touching the screen when the phone is laying on its back on a surface with poor grounding makes it unresponsive, but holding it in a hand doesn't display this issue.

Owners are also reporting an issue with the lower portion of the glass screen detaching from the body. According to one post, the glass is slowly ungluing-- visible with a light leak.

HTC has been made aware of the issues, but hasn't responded so far.
