HTC promises Desire for US in August

HTC Desire confirmed for American carriers

HTC today said that it would bring the Desire to the US in August. Much of the launch is a mystery, but multiple "regional carriers" are said to be launching the range-topping Android phone. More info should surface closer to the release.

Prior rumors have suggested that both major GSM carriers in the US, AT&T and T-Mobile, would each be getting a version of the smartphone supporting their respective networks. If truly regional, though, the Desire may come in a CDMA version for smaller providers like Cricket or US Cellular.

Independently of its connections, the Desire always has a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a five-megapixel camera with flash and a microSDHC slot for storage.

Now that Bell launched the Legend, http://briefmobile.com/htc-legend-launches-at-bell. I'm just gonna get that... every phone will eventually be outdated, you know?
