Nikon developing second camera with projector

Nikon is working on a replacement for its Coolpix S1000pj camera that has a built-in projector, according to a report in a recent issue of the French magazine Chasseur d’Images. Unlike the current camera, however, the new one will have the ability to be connected to a computer and display images like a conventional, standalone projector. No definitive specs or even a name for this camera are known, however.

It could be out as soon as this year, as the next generation of Nikon Coolpix cameras should be out in the first half of August. In this group, an earlier rumored competitor to the Canon G11 is expected, which would incorporate DSLR technology but remain a point-and-shoot camera. [via Nikon Rumors]

    Please

Could your article offer us fewer details? There is way too much here for me to keep track of. There may be a camera projector at some point in the future, the release date for which and the price for which are a mystery.

    Oy.
