Intel notebooks at Best Buy get WiMAX modules

Clearwire said on Monday that its high-speed WiMAX modules will be built into all Intel-based notebooks and netbooks offered at Best Buy. The 4G mobile broadband modem will be built into the Dell's Inspiron 14, Inspiron 15, Mini 10 as well as Toshiba's Satellite M645. Certain notebooks carry an associated $100 discount if bought with a two-year Clear 4G contract, but all should be available contract-free.

CLEAR service has no monthly usage caps and offers up to 6Mbps real-world download speeds and 1Mbps upload speeds. Mobile plans start at $40, while the notebooks themselves vary in price depending on the configuration and the model.
