MSI shows notebook with dual-core chip, Danube
MSI on Monday announced its latest Classic-series notebook PC, the 15.6-inch CR630. It uses AMD's newer Danube mobile platform and will be powered by an Athlon II dual-core processor of an unspecified clock speed. The platform swap gives the notebook relatively fast Mobility Radeon HD 4270 graphics that can drive HD video and basic 3D gaming on the 720p-capable screen.
Buyers will get a choice of a 320GB or 500GB hard drive, though the amount of RAM isn't mention. The notebook otherwise gets Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 1.3-megapixel webcam and an HDMI output. A six-cell battery is standard fare, and the entire notebook is relatively light among Windows PCs its size, measuring out to 5.5 pounds.
A release date or price tag haven't been revealed, but most MSI notebooks reach the US and get pricing closer to their local ship dates.
