Samsung Acclaim due at US Cellular on July 9th

US Cellular has officially confirmed that the Samsung Acclaim handset, its first Android-powered device, will arrive on July 9. The confirmation came on the provider's Facebookpage in the form of a contest that would give away one of then handsets to those who enter. The Acclaim will be powered by Android 2.1, and sport a horizontal QWERTY slide-out keyboard.

The entry-level phone will also have a 3.2-inch screen with a resolution of 480x320. A 3-megapixel camera with flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a microSD memory card round out the specs. Despite the confirmation, though, US Cellular hasn't revealed a price tag for the handset.
