Verizon offers FiOS contract-free bundles

Verizon on Monday said it has now began offering its FiOS bundles on a monthly basis, dropping the associated contract without raising the monthly fee. The bundles include fiber optic-based Internet, TV and VoIP calling features. Verizon has offered monthly bundles before this, though they cost $20 per month more than the contract deal.

The monthly deal is priced at $100 per month and has price protection for one year. Verizon's website has a one-year contract for the bundle, which costs $90 per month, though has an early termination fee. There is also a new contract-free La Conexion bundle that has key English and Spanish programming for $90 per month.

More feature-laden and faster Internet bundles can also now be purchased contract-free. The base package include more than 225 TV channels and over 40 HD channels, Internet with up to 15Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds and a phone line with unlimited nationwide calling.
