Sony bringing Hulu to PlayStation Network?

Company said to be close to a deal

Sony is allegedly close to establishing an agreement that will bring Hulu service to the PlayStation 3, several unnamed sources have told Bloomberg. Both contacts suggest the collaboration could be formally announced as soon as next week.

The service is said to be an extension of Sony's PlayStation Network, providing access to on-demand television content from networks such as NBC, Fox and ABC. Although users can sign up for PSN for free, the Hulu service will allegedly require a paid subscription. Pricing for the PlayStation variant remains unknown, however Hulu offers a $10/month subscription service for its primary website.

Separate reports suggest Hulu will also be heading to the Xbox 360 and iPad within the next month or two, as the streaming video company expands its reach onto even more hardware platforms.
