Verizon leak shows confidence in Droid X for now
Details escaping about Verizon's mystery meetings have revealed both a major new marketing spin and its lack of short-term plans for the iPhone. It should drop its longstanding "can you hear me now?" slogan in favor of "rule the air" and will shorten the company's name to Verizon from its usual Verizon Wireless. The combined effect would be "bolder," Droid-Life's sources said.
A lone shot of the campaign has surfaced from Engadget.
The company is also reportedly telling staff that they don't intend to carry the iPhone 4 right now. All of Verizon's current attention is focused on its Android devices, particularly the Droid X. The carrier has cast it as the "summer of Droid," one eyewitness said of an early session.
It's unknown how much of Verizon's commentary actually reflects its long-term strategy; such statements are often made to ensure staff don't send contradictory info or encourage customers to wait instead of buying immediately. Several detailed rumors have put a CDMA iPhone on Verizon in November, which would keep any iPhone release sufficiently far away that Android phones would still be more important to the company's sales.

About Verizon and iPhone
To all those who just sit there speculating and hoping about this fricking iphone/verizon thing- JUST STOP.
Verizon will not be getting the iphone any time prior to the second half of 2011 and that's IF they get it.
Aren't we tired of all the speculation already?
