HTC Evo 4G maintenance update released

The expected firmware update for the HTC Evo 4G has arrived. The over-the-air version 1.47.651.1 fix is 21.4MB, but exactly what it involves is not yet known. Among the believed fixes is improved battery life and enhancing of the Wi-Fi feature, which could enable 802.11n support.

Full details are not yet known, but other changes are believed to include Exchange Active Sync improvements and a social networking sync with Facebook meant to improve battery life. The former should make setting up a new account easier, PIN policy usage and Exchange Server 2010 Calendar Sync. [via Engadget]
