First wave of HP e-mail printers ready to go

After its earlier preview, HP has started shipping the first of its e-mail-capable printers. The e-All-in-One D110a can print documents sent directly to its unique e-mail address, letting iPads and other devices without native printing support or even USB send images to the color inkjet. 802.11n Wi-Fi puts it on the local network without needing any cables beyond power.

As a multifunction printer, it can scan at up to a native 1,200DPI and copies at up to 29 pages per minute. Printing reaches up to 23 pages per minute in color and a maximum width of 1,200DPI. Physical, computer-free printing is still possible through either a USB port or a hybrid Memory Stick Duo and SD card reader.

The e-All-in-One normally costs more than HP originally listed at $130, but an immediate rebate drops that price down to the official $100.
