Fujitsu begins shipping entry-level tablet PC

Fujitsu has quietly began offering its new entry-level Lifebook TH700 tablet PC online. The 12.1-inch tablet has a 1280x800 resolution and is powered by a 2.26GHz Intel Core i3 CPU. It gets 4GB of RAM, a 320GB shock-mounted hard drive preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and integrated Intel graphics.

Fujitsu carried over its bi-direction swivel hinge, flip hatch and modular bay for a secondary battery or drive. A removable dust filter, a fingerprint reader, a dual digitizer that accepts pen input, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and an HDMI output are also built-in. A six-cell battery, 2-megapixel webcam and DVD burner round out the major standard specs.

The TH700 costs $1,149 or $1,099 after a mail-in rebate, and ships on July 1. [via GottaBeMobile]
