Hulu Plus on PS3 to require PlayStation Plus subscription

Streaming service fetches $10 per month


PlayStation 3 owners may be facing more than $10 per month to access Hulu's streaming video content from the console. Although both companies have only publicly acknowledged the Hulu Plus subscription requirement, the service appears to require a PlayStation Plus account as well.

Source code on Hulu's website, uncovered by Technologizer, clearly declares that the service is only available to Playstation Plus subscribers. The terms appear in Google search results, but not on the visible page.

PlayStation Plus subscriptions are available for $50 per year or $18 for three months. As the terms have yet to be fully explained, it is unclear if PlayStation Plus subscribers receive a discount on the $10 Hulu fee.
