T-Mobile UK reduces Desire prices, plans

T-Mobile UK has reduced pricing for its version of the HTC Desire in response to the release of the iPhone 4. There are two new contracts for the Desire, with the first composed of 100 minutes, 100 text messages and 3GB of data for the equivalent of $30 per month. At this level, the phone needs to be purchased for $55. The other plan consists of 600 minutes, 500 texts and 3GB of data for $38 per month and a $76 purchase price.

In comparison, Vodafone prices the iPhone 4 at $38 per month with a $332 initial cost and includes 75 minutes and 250 text messages, along with 1GB of data. At launch, the Desire at T-Mobile cost $194 with a $22 monthly plan with 300 minutes, 300 texts and unlimited data at the low end, with a free handset on a $53 per month plan.

The Desire is HTC's version of the Google-branded Nexus One, the original flagship Android phone. [via T3]
