Hulu Plus won't need PS Plus in finished PS3 relea

Hulu has allayed fears that it would require PlayStation Plus to use Hulu Plus on the PS3. A gamer asking the TV streaming service was told that Hulu Plus only needs the yearly Sony subscription to work during the preview phase. When the full Hulu Plus is available, customers will only pay the $10 per month attached to the service itself.

A spokesperson for Hulu said the need for PlayStation Plus was only to control the number of users in the test stage, but didn't say when the test would end.

Hulu Plus is the first version of the video platform officially available beyond the desktop web and will cost the same amount for access on the iPad and iPhone, Samsung and Vizio home theater equipment, as well as a 2011 release for the Xbox 360.
