ASUS bamboo notebooks at Best Buy for pre-order
ASUS' long-awaited Bamboo-bodied notebooks are now available for pre-order at Best Buy. The two 14-inch systems include the U43JC and U43F, either of which can be pre-ordered now. The $950 U43F is powered by a 2.26GHz Intel Core i5 and 4GB of RAM, while sporting a 640GB hard drive; it makes do with integrated Intel graphics.
Both models share many of the same specs and features, including facial recognition. The $50 dearer U43JC adds NVIDIA's GeForce 310M graphics chipset with Optimus graphics switching for better battery life, though both are rated at up to 5 hours and 10 minutes of longevity.
Both are listed as backordered but could ship by the end of the month. [via Engadget]
