Samsung Intercept finally official
After leaking to the point where it sold phones early, Sprint today at last unveiled the Samsung Intercept. Its spiritual sequel to the Moment has the familiar QWERTY slider layout but comes with Android 2.1 and appears to have switched to a 3.2-inch LCD instead of the more expensive AMOLED from before. Sprint still boasts of a "powerful processor" as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS and Wi-Fi.
Like most Sprint phones, most of the customization comes from carrier-made Sprint TV, Football Live and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile apps as well as visual voicemail. The Intercept will come in gray and pink hues and, even while new, should cost $100 when linked to a contract, albeit after a $100 rebate. As anticipated, stores should start carrying the Intercept on July 11.
