T-Mobile Android roadmap shows Emerald date, more

A leaked image of a roadmap of T-Mobile handset releases shows that the carrier will release a total of seven new Android handsets before year's end. This includes the already known Motorola Charm on July 21, along with the Samsung Vibrant on the same day. There are five other devices due as well, likely under code names.

On September 9, an HTC handset dubbed Vanguard will make its debut. Two other Motorola Android devices are coming on the same day, though their names are too hard to make out. An LG Android phone is likewise coming soon thereafter.

The Project Emerald handset, which could be the HTC Vision, could be revealed on November 5.

The roadmap indicates the Motorola Cliq and Cliq XT are due for an update in August, likely to Android 2.2. The Charm, which will ship with Android 2.1, should get the same software a little later, in September.
