MSI outs LA Dodgers AIO PC and notebook
Taiwanese PC maker MSI announced a partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. Aside from outfitting the Dodgers' team management office with the all-in-one Wind Top AE2220 PCs, MSI will also make limited-edition versions of the all-in-one and the Wind U135DX netbook to the public. Each will sport LA Dodgers logos and a special color scheme.
The AE2220 sports a 21.5-inch touchscreen and a 1080p native resolution. It gets NVIDIA's Ion graphics processor in addition to a 256MB GeForce 9300 chipset and is powered by a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. There is 4GB of RAM inside, along with Wi-Fi and a dual-layer DVD drive. The 640GB hard drive is preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.
The 10-inch, 1024x600 resolution Wind U135DX netbook is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 and 1GB of RAM. The OS is Windows 7 Starter Edition on the 250GB hard drive, and there is both Wi-Fi and a 1.3-megapixel camera. The system weighs 2.6lbs with its usual six-cell battery.
Despite the news, MSI has not revealed how much the special edition systems will cost or how many will be made. They are due to ship within days, however.
