Motorola Charm to be delayed until August 25?
The Motorola Charm due for T-Mobile has apparently been delayed, according to TMoNews. The Android phone has reportedly been delayed to August 25 as it may have issues with battery life. When the phone finally does arrive, it will be bundled with an extended battery life instead of the standard one, the rumor alleges.
The delay flies in the face of a recent report that saw leaked images of the Charm already arriving at T-Mobile stores.
The handset sports a 2.8-inch touchscreen with a 320x240 resolution, and will get Wi-Fi and GPS. Processing power comes from a 600MHz CPU and there is a three-megapixel camera onboard. Storage is in the form of a 2GB microSD card slot.
It is expected to be priced at $270 contract-free, or $75 after a $75 mail-in rebate and with a two-year contract. It should ship with Android 2.1, and have a rear touchpad, like the Motorola Backlfip.
