Barnes & Noble to bring Blackboard e-textbooks, more

Barnes & Noble, Blackboard team up on study aids
Education firm Blackboard and Barnes & Noble on Wednesday announced a partnership that would make it easier for students to access and use interactive e-textbooks. Students will be able to buy e-textbooks and other online course-related content right from Blackboard Learn, a web-based teaching platform.
This will also make teachers' jobs easier, as they can assign content from Barnes & Noble's catalog. The collaboration will also improve interaction between Blackboard Learn and NOOKstudy by Barnes & Noble. The latter lets students make searchable notes.
NOOKstudy should be available with the Blackboard material in time for the fall semester.
