Subsidized pricing remains unclear
AT&T is allegedly preparing to launch the Dell Streak on July 19, an unnamed source has told the Boy Genius Report. The unconfirmed report does not provide any additional information such as subsidized pricing, however the device will sell for $500 as an unlocked version.
Dell suggests the Streak's 5-inch screen falls somewhere between a smartphone and a tablet, however it carries a set of features common to many Android handsets. The device integrates a 1GHz Snapdragon, 800x480 display, 2GB of onboard storage, a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, and a front-facing camera for video conferencing.
AT&T's voice plans start at $40/month, while the smartphone plans add at least $15 for the 200MB package or $25 for the 2GB option.

notebook review
The product is great its a nice size for touchscreen apps and games. Its faster than the 3g, the Kindle app is usable without eyestrain. Google nav is available and works OK. The Android 2.2 update should also make browsing better because it will improve JavaScript performance and the overall speed of the Dell Streak should get a boost with the new software, too.
