HTC Ace to be out in October, called Desire HD?

The rumored HTC Ace, expected to be an Evo 4G for carriers other than Sprint, has received specs and a possible name change according to new rumors. Now being called the HTC Desire HD, it should sport a 4.3-inch touchscreen with the same 800x480 screen. A 1GHz Snapdragon CPU will still power it, while images and 720p HD videos can be captured with an eight-megapixel camera.

UK retailer SuperEtrader maintains the device will be out in October in the UK. By this time, it's more than likely to have Android 2.2 preloaded.

Otherwise, SRS Surround sound should be supported, along with XviD playback and Flash 10. The camera will have automatic face tracking, and 4GB of storage space is expected to be built-in. A Legend-like unibody aluminum design rounds out the known, but preliminary and unofficial features. [via SlashGear]
