    Steve Jobs the Victim?

He doesn't like being at the other end of a story?

People took advantage by demonstrating the issue?

Some of these statements he should've run by a PR department wall.

But, anyway, I guess we know the resolution now, return the phone or don't, your choice.

I personally didn't buy one, so its not my issue - I'm still waiting for that i7 mac mini.

    Not unreasonable

I've been dealing with Apple Corporate directly regarding my iPhone 4 for a couple of weeks, and can confirm that they have sent engineers out into the field to gather data as one of them was with me for about 3 hours yesterday doing just that.

This is the proper way to respond to the issue - analyze and THEN react.

Right now, I can't say that I'm thrilled with the way things are as I seem to be in that minority experiencing issues. But, like it or not, I have to respect the data.

I am concerned, however, that the return and support call statistics that Steve quoted may have been artificially low as people have stuck it out thus far waiting for Apple to fix things. Whether those numbers change after today, who knows.

    Cases...

because we didn't share the phone design with case manufacturers in advance of launch. But now we wish there were more cases out there! It's really simple why: when people find out about your new product, they stop buying your old products.

Guess what Steve? People already know when your next iPhone will be released (around June, 2011). They will stop buying if they care before then.

This will happen whether or not some case vendor leaks your super-secret case specifications.

And what would have happened with that case that was released? Um, well, people would have found out the new dimensions, possibly the shape itself, that there were three buttons on it, and camera holes.

OMG! There are camera holes! We can't let people see that!

    2 hours

I've spent 2 hours trying to get my blackberry bold to drop bars depending on how I hold it. They wont' budge. I guarantee there is a lawsuit coming. There is a big difference between a phone doing something in rare circumstances and a phone doing something all the time.

Why does apple always need to rely on criticizing competitors?
