MS reveals new X360 Arcade and bundle

Microsoft set the stage for the Kinect's launch today with word not just of its pricing but of a new Xbox 360 Arcade. Validating a posting last week, the company will launch a new Arcade based on the 2010 redesign. It will swell the Arcade's memory to 4GB while adding the 802.11n Wi-Fi of the flagship; the lower-end Xbox will be recognizable by its matte black finish instead of the 250GB model's gloss.

The new Arcade will be available by itself on August 3 for $200. Microsoft also plans a bundle with the Kinect motion controller that will be available for $300 when Kinect itself is ready, on November 4.

Numerous leaks surrounding the Kinect's pricing were also confirmed today. As Microsoft itself confirmed earlier, the Kinect will cost $150; it and the Arcade bundle will come bundled with a copy of the multi-game Kinect Adventures to get players started. Most if not all of the 15 launch games for the motion controller will cost $50.
