PNY releases Optima series SSDs

PNY outs two new Optima series SSDs


PNY has released a new solid state drive family, the Optima. The 2.5-inch drives are meant as upgrade drives for notebooks and desktops and sport 64MB of cache memory. Each has TRIM support and uses the SATA II interface.

The 64GB model has a peak 220MBps sequential read speed along with a maximum 100MBps sequential write speed, while the 128GB Optima has a top 235MBps sequential read speed and 150MBps sequential write speed. Now available at Amazon, the 64GB Optima drive costs $146, while the 128GB version is priced at $240.
