Samsung Intensity II shows up at Best Buy

The sequel to the entry-level Samsung Intensity handset will soon show itself at Verizon Wireless, according to a presence of a display unit in Best Buy stores. Simply named Intensity II, the slider phone has a hardware QWERTY keyboard, a two-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth onboard. It will support Verizon's Navigator service, but only through assisted GPS.

In comparison, the old handset didn't have Bluetooth, and its camera had a lower-resolution, 1.3-megapixel sensor. With a two-year Verizon contract, the handset should cost $1 at Best Buy. Contract-free, the Intensity II will cost $250. The original Intensity is still on sale at Best Buy, free on a two-year contract or $300 without. [via BGR]

    Good starter

for a teenager or someone upgrading into the market... Otherwise it is a ugly phone.

Before I saw the videos for the samsung intensity 2 and the pantech jest they were my top 2 choices for phones since my old chocolate broke which stayed with me for about four years I need a new one and out of these two which one did you like best not including data or texting features which aren't my top priority. So i decided to switch here. The Samsung Intensity II has a full QWERTY keyboard, solid messaging and e-mail tools, and handy search and navigation extras. The attractive, compact design and eco-conscious construction is a bonus. samsung intensity 2 review

I had this phone for less than 1 week and the screen crapped out on me. I did not drop it, get it wet or even put pressure on it. This phone is worthless! Also the short time i was able to use it the camera function was c*** and there was no video capability. Worst phone I ever owned.
