Panasonic is set to introduce a new consumer-level 3D camcorder sometime next week. The company has yet to disclose specific details, although a full set of specs is expected to be announced during the official unveiling.
The company has already introduced several products geared for the expanding market of 3D devices. Consumers can purchase a variety of VIERA plasma HDTVs ready for 3D content, with size classes ranging from 50 to 65 inches. The TVs have also been sold alongside a pair of 3D Blu-ray players.
Aside from the consumer products, Panasonic has also introduced a professional 1080p 3D camcorder system utilizing twin lenses. The company is also working on production systems that will allow companies to produce 3D video on a range of media. [via IDG]
