Verizon says Droid X screen issues are resolved
Verizon and Motorola have admitted the screen flickering issue of the newly released Droid X smartphone. In a statement, Verizon said it is aware of a "small number" of affected devices with a flickering or banding display. It goes on to say Motorola has fixed this problem and is continuing to ship the phones.
Finally, Verizon said any consumers who have an affected device should contact a Motorola customer support rep or Verizon for a remedy. Most customers will get a full replacement for the phone.
The flaw is one of the few blots on the launch of the Droid X, which sold out quickly after its debut and now won't reach new customers until August. Verizon had promised healthy stock of the phone on launch but has been facing a large amount of demand. Its large 4.3-inch screen and 1GHz chip are the most frequently cited advantages over many of its rivals.

see this is why motorola will never make it, the procedure for launch day problems are to wait a few weeks denying there is even a problem or saying the customer is at fault, then hold a press conference stating that this is a industry wide problem affecting all types of phones and then give out a free accessory that hides the problem
i mean acknowledging the problem, fixing the problem, and replacing any affected hardware, now thats a big no no if you want to make it in this smart phone market
