Senior-oriented Samsung Haven due at Verizon
Verizon is now offering the Samsung Haven handset for pre-order. The Haven is meant for seniors, and has a 2.2-inch display with adjustable font sizes. It features Well-Being and Health Tools that include up to five reminder alarms, a fitness trainer with 15 stretching exercises, four healing music tracks for stress-relief and a medical information app that lets users take notes and stores medical information such as allergies or medications.
The handset has dedicated keys for 911, speakerphone, voicemail, voice commands, three In Case of Emergency numbers and photos. It can send and receive text messages and has a choice of 56-note polyphonic ringtones.
Available only in grey, the Samsung Haven can be ordered now, and ships on July 29. It will cost $40 on a two-year contract.

The Samsung Haven U320 is avaliable for $39.99 with a 2-year contract, and there is no pesky mail-in-rebate. The large font and dialpad keys are desirable attributes. I just hope that the Haven will have better signal reception, because i have observed that the Knack lost its signal several times.
