Panasonic may convert existing cam to 3D

Panasonic's plans to unveil a 3D camcorder appear to have been confirmed this weekend as Panasonic has posted a placeholder for the device itself. The HDC-SDT750 resembles a traditional camcorder but has a special conversion mount to introduce stereoscopic 3D. It should capture in 1080p AVCHD (H.264) at 60FPS, although the frame rate implies it might drop to 30FPS for 3D.

The SDT750K should be made public sometime this week, but the camera isn't likely to ship until some weeks later and will only come in black. A fast image processor and the 3D lens kit will likely put the price at a significant premium above a 2D equivalent. [via Engadget]

Little 3D effect from this one...

Looks to have a limited interocular distance. This will render the 3D useless in all but the longest of lens shots.
