Handset first arriving in the UK

Acer's Liquid Stream smartphone is scheduled to be launched in the UK on August 9, according to a listing for the UK electronics retailer Expansys. The device, which first appeared in May, features a 1GHz Snapdragon powering Android 2.1. The UI is presented on a 3.7-inch OLED touchscreen with 800x480 resolution.

Expansys is selling the Liquid Stream unlocked for £399 (~$610 USD). The device offers tri-band HSPA 3G connectivity. Separate reports and FCC documents suggest a North American launch may be set for later in the fall. [via Android Community]
