Touch-only T-Mobile myTouch 3G HD spotted
T-Mobile's first HSPA+ phone, or one of them, may ultimately be its first direct sequel to the original myTouch 3G. A slip on Wednesday showed a large, touchscreen-only phone badged as the myTouch 3G HD. It would have the Genius button and overall design aesthetics of the myTouch 3G Slide, but Android Central was told it would have the faster 3G claimed for the G1 Blaze.
Few other details were spotted, but a front camera might be in evidence, and a dedicated photo button exists on the side. T-Mobile's custom UI layer will likely make an appearance, but it may use Android 3.0 instead of 2.1 or 2.2.
No official word has emerged of an HSPA+ phone's release date, as the company has only said it will ship the phone sometime in 2010. HSPA+ promises to give T-Mobile a speed edge over Sprint as it could peak at 21Mbps versus just 10Mbps for WiMAX.
