Slim Xbox 360 Arcade can take hard disk add-on

Worries that Microsoft's new slim Xbox 360 Arcade would lack expansion were assuaged late Thursday as a glimpse at the console's box revealed that an upgrade will still be an option. At least a 250GB hard drive will be available as an option for gamers who want to trade up from the built-in 4GB of flash memory. Instead of an elaborate side-mounted enclosure, the upgrade drive is a simple black box that slots into the back.

Microsoft hasn't told Gamerzines or others when the drive will arrive or how much it will cost. The existing 250GB upgrade drive costs $130, significantly above the cost of the actual disk, but potential exists for a lower price with the reduction of drive prices and the use of a cheaper enclosure.
