Various Atom CPU offerings, Windows 7

UMPC maker OQO appears to be back in business, as a yet-unknown Chinese division has resurfaced with a website previewing a new device. The high-end Model 2+ project, unveiled early in 2009, never came to fruition after the US company closed its doors. The Chinese site now boasts of a 'Model03,' which appears to be an updated version of the Model 2+.

The Model03 is listed with 3G network support and several Atom CPU options, ranging from the 1.2GHz Z515 to the 2.0GHz Z550. Windows XP has been replaced with Windows 7, while the interface is presented on a multi-touch display.

It is unclear if OQO plans on launching the Model03 in the US market, although the Chinese version is listed with a 31,888 yuan (~$4,700 USD) price tag and Q3 launch time-frame. [via UMPC Portal]
