Sony PS3 3.41 update re-issued to fix HDD problem

An apologetic Sony announced on its European blog that it will re-issue software update 3.41 for the PS3 gaming console. Issued on July 27, the upgrade crashes some systems which have swapped hard drives, an upgrade Sony said it still encourages. The new software, which remains called 3.41, was released on August 2.

Affected users should download the new update and try booting up their systems again. The update brings with it PlayStation Store recommendations based on a user's purchases.
