AT&T launches Wrigley Field Wi-Fi hotspot
AT&T has launched its promised Wi-Fi hotspot in Chicago much earlier than expected. The access covers Wrigleyville, the neighboring restaurants and shops surrounding Wrigley Field. Streets and outdoor areas to the immediate south, east and west sides of the stadium have the Wi-Fi coverage.
This is the third such Wi-Fi zone AT&T has set up in a major US city, with New York City's Times Square being the first, in May. The second Wi-Fi zone is in downtown Charlotte, NC. The strategy gives AT&T users better Internet access in these areas and offloads the burden on its frequently strained 3G network.
Many handsets offered by AT&T can automatically connect to AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots, saving them data usage on their now capped monthly plans.

I'm back....
...to admit that I was completely wrong about where this Hotspot would be. Not NoMiich Ave or the park, but Wrigleyville. 20-somethings rejoice! Texting AND baseball...in that order.
