Logitech outs G930 gaming headset, G700 mouse
In addition to the G510 gaming keyboard, Logitech on Thursday introduced two other PC gaming peripherals, including the Wireless Gaming Headset G930 and Wireless Gaming Mouse G700. The former has 7.1-channel Dolby surround sound support, and can stream two-way, uncompressed audio wirelessly. It has three programmable keys that can control music, voice morphing and chat clients.
The microphone is noise-cancelling and can be muted, with a red light on the boom indicating the case. The battery has a 10-hour life and a charging base station keeps it topped up and the headset can be plugged in while in use. Its headband is lined with memory foam, and the earpads are plush to relieve pressure points for long-wearing comfort while sealing out ambient noise.
The gaming mouse has 13 programmable controls and macro capability. It comes with a low-profile USB receiver and can send 1,000 reports per second. Sensitivity can be switched from between 200DPI to 5,700DPI. An LED display keeps users informed about profile settings, battery status and sensitivity. Five profiles for different games or players can be saved onto the mouse itself, without having to rely on software, letting users bring the mouse to a different PC and retain their settings. It can be plugged into a computer anytime for charging and send data over the cable as well.
The G930 costs $160, while the G700 costs $100 and both are now available on Logitech's website.
