Tablet communicates directly with printer

Additional details surrounding HP's eStation Zeen tablet and Zeus printer have emerged. The Zeen tablet allegedly runs Android 2.1 paired with a custom HP skin, rather than a WebOS implementation, although it is unclear if the company will upgrade to v2.2 before the public launch, unnamed sources have told Engadget.

The sources claim the Zeen will integrate a capacitive touchscreen, SD slot, video support, and a webcam. The device is said to be focused on e-book reading, a function which will reportedly interface with Barnes & Noble's Nook portal.

The Zeen will allegedly be offered alongside the Zeus printer, which only offers basic controls. The primary interface is said to be presented on the tablet after it is docked directly to the printer.

The Zeen/Zeuss bundle is said to be on its way for $399, although the price for the standalone tablet remains unclear.
