ASUS Windows Phone 7 final hardware leaks out
ASUS' likely finished design for its first Windows Phone 7 device was spotted today in Pakistan. The hardware is very different than the prototype seen at the Mobile World Congress keynote but is consistent with ASUS' design traits, as it has a brushed metal or metal effect front. Its three-button layout follows in step with Microsoft's WP7 guidelines that limit it to back, Windows and search buttons.
Technical specs aren't available, but the phone likely has a large (over 3.5-inch) screen and has to use an 800x480 resolution to fit in with the OS limits. What might be a front camera is unlikely, as Microsoft hasn't built-in video chat support, and is more likely an ambient light sensor. Most WP7 phones need at least 8GB of internal storage.
ASUS and most other early partners on Microsoft's launch will ship their devices in October or November. [via Pocketnow]
