Sony Ericsson Android reaches AT&T at last

Following a brief teaser campaign, Sony Ericsson today launched the Xperia X10 in the US through AT&T. The US release is similar and centers on a four-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an eight-megapixel camera and 8GB of internal storage. Android 1.6 is still the foundation and comes with Sony Ericsson's Mediascape and Timescape layers.

The phone should reach AT&T on August 15 bundled with a 2GB microSD card but will vary in pricing depending on the outlet. AT&T's is the most expensive at $150 on a two-year contract, but Sony itself is promising $130 for those who order in-store. Amazon will have the phone a week later for $50.
