Touchscreen, quick messaging, social networking
Samsung today brought out two new touchscreen messaging phones focused on social networks and AT&T's Mobile TV service. Both the Eternity II and Flight II are graced by three-inch touchscreens They carry full HTML browsers and, in hardware, two-megapixel cameras, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS. Either has microSDHC storage expandable to 32GB on the Eternity II and 16GB on the Flight II.
The Flight II combines its touchscreen interface with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard, giving users two options for text input. It also offers additional personalization options such as three customizable menu screens and drag and-drop widgets.
The Eternity II carriers TV and enhanced GPS apps, such as Fitness Tracking. Due to its more conventional design, it offers users additional storage space that will help to accommodate more music and video files.
The Flight II is available now, exclusively at Radio Shack, and the Eternity II will be available on August 15 at AT&T retail locations. Despite the launches, pricing hasn't been outlined.
