Card streams four simultaneous TV streams

Ceton has finally begun shipping its InfiniTV quad-CableCARD tuner to customers who placed pre-orders. The multi-tuner PC card allows users to watch digital cable TV from their computers or dedicated media centers.

The card is capable of simultaneously streaming or recording four separate channels of TV content, in SD or HD resolutions, including encrypted or premium channels. Any US cable system is said to be supported, as long as the cable company provides a Multi-Stream CableCARD.

The InfiniTV is now available for $399, while CableCARD rentals typically range from $2-6/month from various providers. [via Zatz Not Funny]
