Ordro ships first camcorder with pico projector

Relative unknown Ordro has recently released its HDV-D350S HD camera, which it bills as the first camcorder that has a removable pico projector. The DLP projector can display images taken from the camcorder underneath at 854x480 and with 15 lumens of brightness. The TI-made projector can also throw up images up to 60 inches in size.

The camera's more traditional specs include a 10-megapixel sensor, a 3-inch LCD screen and a 10x optical zoom. It records H.264 video exclusively to SD/SDHC memory cards. Video resolution is not quite 1080p, at 1440x1080 at 60fps, but hits a widescreen 1280x720 at 30fps. The camera can also capture JPEGs at up to 4000x3000, though this suggests interpolation at work as it equates to 12 megapixels.

The camera ships directly from Ordro for $550 or can be had on Amazon for $757. [via UnwiredView]
