Text-centric sequel to 2009 MSGM8 revealed

Cricket Wireless has slipped out the MSGM8 II, a new text-centric sequel to the original MSGM8 in line with a leak reported earlier this year. Designed to be finger-friendly, the new MSGM8 II (pronounced ‘message mate 2’) features a larger QWERTY keyboard and dedicated keys for messaging and scheduling.

The tri-band CDMA bar phone also features a one-touch internet button in addition to standard mobile phone inclusions such as a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and voice recognition for hands-free calling. The MSGM8 II normally retails for $80, but can currently be had online at Cricket's web store for a web-only discounted price of $60.
