HP/Palm RoadRunner device, webOS 2.0 hinted

WebOS developer Zhephree has found mention of a Palm RoadRunner device and mentions of webOS 2.0 in the operating system charts. He made this discovery in the logs on Metrix, and while this indicates that a device and/or webOS 2.0 is currently under development, it could be a ruse planted by a mischievous developer. That webOS 2.0 is currently under development is very likely, but this is the first mention of a RoadRunner device.

RoadRunner is probably a codename which could point to anything from a sequel to the Pre smartphone or a tablet. In the logs, there is no mention of a resolution higher than the current 320x480 of the current Pre and 320x400 of the Pixi, however, which is another inconsistency that could cast a layer of doubt on the device.

Zhephree says the Metrix stats could be modified by a skilled programmer, but the effort required to do so would be fairly high. [via PreCentral]
