Mystery Samsung WP7 phone leaks

Samsung may have a second Windows Phone 7 device beyond the Cetus, as a leak today has shown a new design. It's neither rounded like the Cetus nor similar to the i8910-based workhorse model given to developers and the press. Andrej Tozon's photos show a rectangular body with no front camera and bottom buttons clearly designed for Microsoft's new mobile OS.

Based on proportions, the device is likely to have a four-inch Super AMOLED screen akin to that on the Galaxy S. Not much else is apparent, but Samsung's recent designs would point to a 1GHz custom-made processor, an 800x480 screen resolution and a five-megapixel or better camera.

It's uncertain if the phone will be ready in time for October and November launches of Windows Phone 7 itself, though a functional, polished design is likely to be closer to release. [via Pocketnow
